I have transfered some clips from my Canon MVX150i by firewire to my Notebook computer. I used Windows Movie Maker 2 to make a 5 minute movie and finalised it as a .avi
I am trying to dubb it back to the Canon camera by firewire. It plays on the notebook in Windows Media Player, cannot be seen on the LCD of the Canon.
I phoned Canon Help and they told me that the Canon Video camera doesn't like the Windows .avi and I should save it in another format!
I also have Vegas on the Notebook so I opened the movie & tried to save it in a different format. The only avi format offered was Windows avi.
I'm sure I did this operation from the WMP2 back to the camera with a different computer before. Is the Canon guy right? Or is something wrong with my camera?
I managed to burn the movie to DVD+RW, but it will not play on a new OMNI DVD recorder that uses +RW format.
I just want to output the movie from the notebook to VHS video.
Any help appreciated.
