    Rumors say that it can change the weight of the cd, therefore changing the mass-center of it and desalign the optic reader of the player.

    Such rumours are considered fairly imaginative, but I have seen them work in practise.

    I've been through that long thread before.Lots of good hypotheses.
    I personally have no problems with labels on any of my dvd players. I was going to give them a go on my xbox backups.

    What do you mean with "but I have seen them work in practice" ? The DVD's work ok, or you have seen problems in practice?

    The problems. Discs that played back just fine before suddenly showing additional MPEG artefacts being the main one.
