What does that have to do with the A07? The A07 does not burn dual layer media.

All of this sounds good
Total answer- Pioneer hasn't posted yet their stance, so it's all speculation, but it'd be nice to have firmware... but this brings up another topic. Blue laser? Aren't we supposed to be moving to blue laser soon? and if so, they could just give us the firmware, and charge us on the next gen (blue laser) That would make for many happy dvd authors out there, but what will they do? No one knows but them. Peace"What's a matter Colonel Sanders???? CHICKEN???!!!! -
if you think that u will be able to buy a burner and just upgrade your firmware to burn on dual layer media u gotta be the most asinine person on the planet.. lol and +R is terrible imo, compatability level is much lower.

yeh but i have experience with +r having a lower compatibility rate, your mac bashing was just the typical retarded comments im sick of hearing from PC users, i doubt you ever use mac and really have any idea whatsoever whether they would have any influence on a +r being any more/less compatible

sorry. my reply may have vaporized. I did do a search for dual layer, but on the results Ive found, no one really seems to have made a dual layer and no one seem to mention the cost of the media except somewonne said $50??

Of course I got nothing to do with Macs but I'm also sick of hearing these kinda retarded comments (your words!) from DVD-R users that obviously have no experience in testing DVD+R with different booktypes in order to avoid logical error in some players.
I've been burning DVD+R in my Ricoh5125 and DVD-R in my Pioneer106 and there is no compatibility difference between them, I can tell you that.
DVD+R is NOT terrible, you are the one who doesn't know how to burn them.
Don't be so sensitive
You post something retarded - You might get the same backYou stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off. -
typical pc user.. brainless. my burner doesnt even burn +r you retard. i said that i have compatibility issues with +r, that my FRIENDS have burned... and YES from PC's and macs alike.

You had compatibility problems with some DVD+R's that your friend burned so you can say "DVD+R is terrible"
Excuse me, who is the narrow-minded here.
When did I tell you that Mac was terrible? You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off. -
fyi imo means IN MY OPINION. i believe im entitled to my opinion as you are yours/ notice in the quote "IMO +r are terrible".

i've already read all of those comparisons-- i stick by my statement about +r being crap.

I have yet to find a player that won't play any of my DVD-R or DVD+R discs. It all comes down to the player you use being crap. I know people with older players that only read one format or the other. All of my players and my families players (including on or two that are 3 years old) will play DVD+R and DVD-R, half of them will play RW discs too. Theres nothing wrong with any of the formats, all of them have uses for some people and none for others. I primarily use Ritek G04 DVD-R's but if I can find good RicohJPN +R's for a good price I won't hesitate to buy them.
