  1. I have a Teac dv-w5oe recently its been readind disks no problem but as soon as I put a blank disc in it gives me the message burn process failed. If I clean the lens with a lense disc cleaner it works for a while then does it again after a day or so. Any ideas.

are you in a really dirty/hot/cold/humid environment? is the drive new enough to be returned, sounds like some kind of calibration problem.

have you tried any different media?

  3. Nothing strange about my enviroment, and I've had this happen with all sorts of media, although I do like to stick to ritek. It rips without any problem as well which seems starnge. Just don't want to burn a lot of the time, either with nero or stomp.

my dvd burner was complaining a few months back, getting thermal calibration errors in Nero. the problem, it was next to a hard drive that cooked it self to death. ne hard drive, problem gone.

try running the burner in another machine, see if it helps.
