  1. I am having trouble with audio in DVD Shrink. I have authored an avi file using Ulead DVD movie factory 2, adding chapters and menu's. When I play back the conversion (within DVD Factory) the film is fine, all sound etc is excellent. But when I try to burn it to disc using DVD Shrink I loose the last 30mins of sound. The video is fine but no sound. All the settings in Shrink are default and the compression rate is auto. Even if I play it back in the preview window it has the sound loss. So it must be something to do with DVD Shrink. Any ideas?

what type of audio are you using? PCM, MPEG, AC3?

are you creating your soundtrack in dvd factory, or an external encoder? does the audio play all the way through in the authored dvd before you run it through shrink?

  3. I authored the file (both audio and video) in DMF2 and can play it back using DMF2 once it has been converted etc and it is fine. I can't burn using this programme as it won't fit on the DVD+r. In DVD shrink the audio is PCM i think (i'm at work and can't check yet).

then first thing i would do is try another transcoder. check in the tools section.

if you get problems with programs other than shrink, then it's a problem with movie factorys' output.
