  1. Hi,

I've backed up a DVD movie using DVD Decrypter onto my hard drive and intend to burn onto DVDr.

My problem is that the subtitles, although showing on the screen are very "blocky" (is that the right word?) and very difficult to read.

I've tried to change the subpicture settings in the IFO files using IFO edit, but can't seem to make any difference. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

The subtitles are static images. If you want to replace them you must make new ones with for example srt2sup and ifoedit, it isn't easy.

Or do you mean that the subs look okey before you rip but bad after?

The subtitles are OK before ripping - it's just after using DVD Decrypter to rip them onto the hard drive that they look strange.
