  1. I’m looking for help from the experts. I’m authoring a DVD with Adobe Encore. It was shot with a SONY TRV17 in ‘widescreen’ (even though the TRV17 does not have a true 16:9 chip). Digitized into Premiere and then prepared for DVD in Encore. I have set up my menus in 4:3. What I want is to output the movie (timeline) in 16:9 anamorphic so that my DVD player can letterbox it into 4:3. But the DVD player is recognizing it as 4:3, as is the preview player within Encore (everything tall and thin). Even Power-DVD on the PC sees it as 4:3. I have everything I can think of set to 16:9. What am I doing wrong?

  3. I figured it out. I used IFOedit to edit the IFO files to 16:9 auto letterbox and that fixed it. Nice little program.
