Hi everyone.
I´m currently on a new projekt. A music-video dvd.
Question 1.
I Have a question about playing music in the dvd. I have put som albums in the dvd where thu user can choose any song. But why does it get black when i play a songtrack (In Adobe Encore). When a song is playing the user want to see all the tracks, not a black view.
Question 2.
If the DVD-player supports mp3. Why can´t i just put in mp3 songs without "transcoding". This is enoying because the songs will be much bigger in MB.
Please anyone. Help me with this.

I may be wrong with my answer. But from what I gathered from the question, here is an answer.
As for question one. If you are placing the audio track as a new timeline, with no video, then you will get a black screen when that track plays. A way around this is to create a menu screen for each and every song. When the user selects the song they want, they are taken to an identical menu screen with the track listing. But for the background music of that menu, place the song track. Don't place the songs on a new timeline, In fact, you wouldn't need to creat any timelines, for this project.
2.) If the DVD player supports Mp3, why not just burn the albums directly onto the dvd, instead of authoring it in Encore? Just creat a standard MP3 data disc. Your DVD should then place a screen up on the player with the track listing.
Not sure if this is the answers you were looking for, but again, this is what I gathered from you post.Use your head, Side Step the Traps, Snake through the chaos with a SmoothNoodleMaps -
Ok, thx for your tips NoodleMaps.
The reason why not makin a mp3-dvd is before i want the animated menu i have done with acore and the musicvideos.
The answear for the first question you gave me was a good tip. I had it on my mind before to, but that solution is a time question. It´s not so fun making a menu for each song when having 15 albums..But if i will do it this way, how do i put in the function "after one played song, next song will play automaticly"?
With question two i ment if there was any chance with acore to leave the mp3-files in mpr-format. Is it?
More tips please..

Set the end action or stop action of the menu screen for the one song, to be the next menu/song. Should do the trick.
As for keeping the music in MP3, I'm not sure if it can be done. You can go into the prefrences and I beleve lower the bitrate settings for the AC3 file, but keeping it as an mp3 is not a standard for DVD, and therefore it will not author the disc this way.Use your head, Side Step the Traps, Snake through the chaos with a SmoothNoodleMaps
