  1. I am trying to capture from a vhs tape, and the capturing is fine but there is a line at the bottom of the screen that disfigures the video. Is There any editing software out there that can cut away at the bottom section of my mpeg clip so the picture isn't ruined? Thank you in advance for your replies.

  2. I think that is a cool effect
Vdub, Tmpeg and many other programs can crop the bottom few lines...

That junk at the bottom of your screen is normal for a VHS capture. Go to http://www.geocities.com/lukesvideo/highresprocess.html and follow steps 6 and 7. You will need VirtualDub.

  4. I had that line, funy thing, after I built an AMD 900, taking most of the hardware from the P3 700, the line was there while recording, but after the burn using nero 5038, it wasn't on the vcd and the picture was slightly better, ever more, after following the instructions on this site for AIW setup, the picture is a little better and the line is not present at all.
