I made a divix movie with Xmpeg (direct stream audio copy - ac3), now I have two files .avi and .ac3. How to play this movie (both files together) or how to multiplex them in one .avi file??

    thanx

You should be able to mux them together with AVI MUX GUI.

  5. If your trying to play with Window Media Player you'll need to have a AC3 decoder filter, in addition to "AC3 from AVI XFORM" filter.

Any DVD player software should be able to decode AC3, but to allow AC3 audio stream in AVI you have to install "AC3 from AVI XFORM". The filter is named "MPGAudio.ax" and can be found with a simple Google search.

An alternative is the Gabest filter "AVI <-> AC3/DTS", found at:
    http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=82303&package_id=84797

Media Player Classic (Gabest) has this stuff built in!

Media Player Classic is an excellent suggestion. You'll need an ac3 filter at some point if you use another player though.
