    Hi Baldrick,

The current info on a person's user profile includes:

Would it be possible to break down the "Total Posts" further to list:

    1. The number of posts made in each forum (not listing the ones that are zero).
    2. The number per forum as a percentage of an individual's total.
    3. Ordered with highest at the top, lowest at the bottom.

    For example:

Total Posts: 1000 [x.xx% of total / y.yy per day]

Forums Posted In: Count / %ge
    Feedback: 400 / 40%
    DV: 300 / 30%
    Off Topic: 200 / 20%
    Newbie / General discussions: 100 / 10%

Why? Coz I'd be interested to see where I do the majority of my posting. And it might make for interesting viewing of others posting habits...

    What d'ya reckon?

    Cheers,
    Daamon.

  2. Sounds good.

Will Hay used the statistics page awhile back to post what percentages of posts were in the Off Topic. I don't know how he did it though.

He used advanced search to only search in the offtopic forum and searched for posts by author.

Hmmm, only 56%. I would have guessed my percentage there would have been higher.

Any chance of ordering them so that the highest percentage is top, working down to the lowest percentage?

OK, now that it is done, what good exactly does this do for anyone? Bragging rights is all I can come up with. If a statement is valid, then it shouldn't matter if all the other posts by that user come from the basket weaving (OT) forum. Just my opinion.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

Of course you're right, but I view it as a bit of fun.
If I let all the critism of my posts get to me I'd be long gone

    Fair comment.

When I first discovered this site, the extent of my video knowledge was knowing what a scart lead is. Since then I have learned a whole bunch of stuff and regularly try to help out wherever I can - because of this, I don't contain myself to just a few forums, I tend to view the latest posts on the homepage as well as sometimes scanning the unanswered posts (irrespective of forums).

It's because of this that I was curious as to what my posting habits were like - how they were spread over the different forums. I then figured it'd be interesting to see how some of the regulars I see / long term residents / those with high post counts came out like.

And, like Will Hay says, also a bit of fun...

How about a 'Profanity Index' that shows the percentage of a member's posts that contain foul language?

tgpo - If you're reading this, how about a new poll suggestion? I'd vote for it!!! Could highlight some excellent flame wares as yet unseen by the masses...

Oh yeah, how was the vodka / cranberry vodka / wine cooler Women's Institution slumber party?

Sounds like you drank too much coffee and had too many old dears talking about knitting if you've got a head that bad!!!
