When i started encoding for about 5 or 10 minutes and after this time i
abort encoding, the files in the ouput directory are automaticly removed.
Wondering if there is a way to prevent this.
The reason why i abort encoding after 5 or 10 minutes is that i want to see
the result of what it has encoded.

You need to select a source range to encode your small 'test'
In TMPGEnc select: >Setting > Source Range
Then select a <start frame> marker and an <end frame> marker.
Set them pretty close together. (about 20 secs playback time should be long enough to get a good idea of the quality and won't take long to encode.)
When you encode only the footage between these two markers will be encoded.
Hope this helps. -
I've only seen this happen when I stop a two pass encode before the second pass begins. There aren't any frames to view until the second pass starts.
