Well, I do mostly video work (but admittedly came from an audio background) using proc amps, detailers, various capture methods and numerous video software tools. The video stuff is the 2 racks at the right of the picture. What would qualify me to be "heavy into video"?

Lose the keyboards. They're just wasting space you could be using for Reel2Reel Projectors, splicing units, various converting boxes. Don't forget more media. You should have cake heaven somewhere in the background.

Litter your walls with Coasters, not posters. Hang coasters from the seiling with fishing line. Add a few blacklights for effect. And get your own personal airconditioner for your window with a homemade venting system that runs it through your video equipment and computer.

Then you'll be set for video.

I need to update a little more myself, but the sheapest of Reel2Reel converters that I want is $600. I have to fund other projects before I can save up for that, so there'll be some waiting time.

I can throw in lessons on how to hide new equipment, you secretly purchased, in with your existing equipment and not leave any financial trail for the wife to follow and discover you're "acquiring" new toys. I've have some small experience in this.

Personally I don't see the need for all the fancy computer equipment for video editing. Give me a good Panavision 35mm, some razor blades, and some tape 8)

yeah but my main concern is getting the "laser" cannon up and running by first quarter 05...this whole cant fire the "laser" thing is putting a bit of a damper on total world domination
