Was given this mini dv camcorder, but no manual. Am I right in thinking that this records an ntsc signal even though it is the European model? If so I presume that after transfer to my pc I must set my encoder to ntsc. he unit has a menu function which allows ntsc playback on pal tv, but I don't think that affects the transfer signal does it?
If anyone has used this camcorder I would be grateful for any instructions on transfer and conversion to dvd.

I got the following from an old post on camcorderinfo.com (I believe the poster owns a TRV16E):

"There is no way of changing the system between NTSC and PAL since the CCDs are different (680K pixels for NTSC, 800K for PAL)."
