When running Mcafee virus scan last night it came up with a proxy-navid??? in system volume information\restore and told me this could not be cleaned it will also not delete or quarantine it. The solution it came up with was to replace with a clean version but i don't even have a clue what this file is.
I'd appreciate any feedback you might have.

p.s that is not the full file name it is followed on by a load of numbers and letters if this is needed for better info please let me know

Go to Control panel > system > System Restore tab and turn off system restore for all drives.
Reboot your computer, then go back and restart system restore and create a new restore point in your help menu.

WARNING - this will delete all of your previous restore points.

Since it is in "system volume information\restore" I wouldn't really worry about it too much it is not a virus operating on your system, it is a virus that was on your system at the time you computer made a restore point and unless you happen to restore your PC to that point of infection it shouldn't be a problem.
