  2. I might be on the wrong track here, but if you mean bulk as a 50 or 100 pack (ie a spindle), try ebay. i get all my dvd-r's there

Try your local shop for that amount. Your local Dick Smith etc. have them.

For Victoria, CBD - Melbourne PC. Elizabeth St, just down from Lonsdale. Princo Grade A - AUD$55 spindle of 50. Ritek AUD$70. Both -R format, 4 speed. Prices current as of today. They also carry +R at slightly higher prices, and 8x at much higher prices.

You could also look at Computer Parts Land - http://www.cpl.com.au click on current price list for pdf version. New price list due out tomorrow (every Thursday to match the green guide)

Other option would be JB HiFI - Shintaro (Princo rebadged) AUD$69 for spindle of 50 -R.

Stay away from the likes of Dick Smith, unless you like paying $5 a disk or more.

  5. Why Databank? They have an average defect disk rate of 2%-3%
and are more expensive than Maxdata white printables with
    a 0-1% ddr.

    Dick Smith = rip off
JB Hi Fi = rip off (suprisingly)
Computer (without) Parts Land are a joke: They advertise but do not have their price list in stock except the most basic items - the consumer watchdog is looking at them. :P

For brand name in bulk (bulk = min 100 up to 10,000)
    goto MultiMedia Technologies http://www.mmt.com.au
and they ship to Tassie, no problems mate. Call for
    business password access.
