    Hi folks. I´m not sure what progressive means. I am looking for a new camcorder as you can see in this forum and not sure if this feature is needed. I have no digital TV, but progressive scan DVD player.

    To the best of my knowledge you need a High Definition TV to utilize the benefits of your progressive scan on yout DVD. I am not sure about a camcorder but I would assume it is the same.
