Okay, my temps are within range of what is "acceptable" but they still seem a bit high to me. I have even been close to the max temp point a couple times under heavy loads. The problem, I believe, stems from my side fan blowing air OUT instead of IN.

I currently have 1 fan in front blowing in, the fan on side blows out as well as the two fans in the back. This is how it came from the factory (I am not that computer literate).

Now, when I take the side off and have a fan blowing on it, the teamp didn't raise above 55C for over 10 minutes at 100%. When I had the side of the case on, and under about 5 minutes of 100%, it was up to 67C. So, this tells me my theory is correct.

So how do I go about getting the fan to blow the right way? I really don't like having this setup (note, the computer is usually in the left of the desk, not under the desk like it is now:

haha, perhaps I should have looked a bit harder before asking.

I just had to turn the fan and point it the other way

  4. Changing the wires will not help you..

Just remove the fan turn it around and reinstall it.

  5. By reversing the wires you could burn out the fan. Just physically flip the fan around.

The little arrows imprinted in the plastic frame, right?

It's OK. Everybody's entitled to an Indolikaa moment once in awhile. Now let's talk about your RAID-0 setup... :P

We could talk about it. All I know is that it is one big honking hard drive (okay, 2X120, whatever). I'd like to split it up into smaller ones, but like I said, I'm not that handy with computers (as can be seen above). If it ain't broke don't fix it!!!
