  1. hi people!

    i have a panasonic rv32br dvd player
    lg gsa 4081b dvd writer
    use dvd shrink 3.1 + nero 6
    with midias samsung, princo

the playback on standalone dvd player presents some hang ups where can see "macro blocks" and the sound "beeps".
can new firmware (A101) for the dvd writer resolve this?
or it is just to improve writing speed?

thanks in advance for any reply

No. Crap media is just that - crap.

  4. forget princos. I hear sometimes they delete after a year. Youre only saving like about 20 cents per disk.

  7. Also in this forum is a thread started by me that has firmware updates for Panasonic DVD players. That may not help your problem but it can't hurt.

Although as the above posters say it's better to use quality media or media that burns well in your burner. You have a good burner. But firmware upgrades can improve the write strategies along with speed, so it could help.

  8. I say it can. For instance, I once got a DVD-R that I could play in my standalone DVD player, but I could not rip it. The disc was just not recognized by the writer nor any of my DVD ROM drives. After updating the firmware on my DVD writer, the disc ripped just fine.

  9. thanks to Vanderlow and dphirschler

exactly what i was thinking: if it can write faster it may write better and how you say "That may not help your problem but it can't hurt", hope...
