  1. I'm trying to use virtualdub-mp3 to check if my avi. movie has any bad frames. But when i try to open the avi. file in vdub-mp3, it gives me an error message saying, "cannot locate decompresor for format Xvid(unknown)", so after that i installed xvid. But it still gave me the same message.

    Any help would MUCH appreciated!!

Not sure which version you installed but it wouldn't hurt to install the latest xvid codec.

You could always change the 4cc to DIVX(assuming you have Divx installed). There's a 4cc changer in the Xvid shortcut folder in your start menu.

Try first, then ask "what should I do?" No sense in thinking it won't work, only to have it solve all your problems.
