I am using MainConcept's MPEG Pro Plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro to edit mpeg files created using a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-250 capture card. The mpeg files are created with upper field dominance.
When I add cross dissolve transitions between each clip and watch it back on a television, the transition is jumpy, jittery and terrible. To solve this problem, I have to reverse the field dominance on each and every mpeg clip on the timeline. That's not too difficult to do. The problem is, changing the field dominance requires each of the already mpeg encoded clips to be re-rendered. This not only takes more time but also reduces the final quality.
Is there any way to get the cross dissolve transition to work properly with clips created with upper field dominance? Is there a way to create or modify a transition to make this possible?
Thanks!
