    Hi,

it seems to be more and more difficult to rip dvds, especially these new dark red/bronze ones. I use dvd decrypter or clad dvd 2.0 or clad dvd net 3.4.1. But whatever the ripping softwares, some dvds are just impossible to decrypt. Do you know of a stronger software, or a way round it?

I always do that. But for some DVDs, it just doesn't do the trick!

sorry. That will usually do the trick because to play it has to be decrypted.

  6. AnyDVD is software that takes out the protection. You could try that too. Or as mentioned clean your laser & make sure your disks are absolutely clean.

  9. Basically, if it can be played it can be ripped. It can't be a new type of copy protection, because all DVD players including the very first unit ever sold must be able to decrypt it to play. I use DVD Decryptor - it's a good package but you've already used it so it's pointless pushing it.

Well, thank you all for your advice. But the actual 2 DVDs I want are still not on my Hard drive. I have tried with several copies of the same DVDs, all in good working condition. I have done others successfully in the meantime, so there is obviously nothing wrong with my hardware. I have tried everything you've all told me except for using 'charged for' softwares.
So I still think there's some sort of special protection on them... And I won't get them!

Why don't you tell us what titles you are trying to rip? Probably, someone else has had success with them - which would mean that your equipment is the problem, or that PEBCAK is affecting you.

Disable AutoRun and uninstall the anti-copying software that got installed without your consent (which is a violation of your rights, so get a lwayer and sue).
