With some previously backed up DVDs using DVDXCopy when I try and extract the ISO using DVD Decrypter, it gets to 99% then gives a generic error (after 20 retries, of course) and I have to abort. Has anyone had this happen before? Anything I can do? I would use NERO, but NERO burned DVDs don't work with my DVD Player (Pioneer DV-354).

I'd suggest you rip in FILE MODE with DECRYPTER instead of ISO mode. Burn using IMG TOOL BURN. DVDXCOPY isn't the greatest software to use to back up dvds. There have been posts about conflicts using that with other software. Here is the link for IMG TOOL BURN. You could also use IMG TOOL to create a ISO image then use IMG TOOL BURN Or DECRYPTER to burn the ISO.

Exactly. Since it's ripped once, there's no need to use a ripper again. Just copy the folders like any regular file. But if DVDDecrypter has problems reading the source DVD, it's very likely that Explorer will fail too, since the DVD probably has some errors (or is dirty). Read errors at the last parts of a DVD (the outer edge) almost always indicate bad media (or finger prints, as that's where at least I hold the disc).

Alright, thanks, but doesn't IMGTOOLBURN use the Nero API? My standalone doesn't like DVDs burned with Nero, so wouldn't this be the same problem? Also, I had burned like 20 DVDs without checking any of them for the most part, and almost all of them are junk, they boot to the 321 logo, then kinda go-on but are really messed up (completely unviewable). Is this most likely a problem with my burner (speed too fast, etc.) or with the fact that I'm trying to copy a DVDXCopy backup?
