  1. I follow the VCD to DVDR w/ SVCD2DVDMPG+ guide to convert mpg video to 44.1KHz to 48 KHz file. Now here is the problem, I put all my sources file in c:\video and the output file in c:\video\dvd. Now after 6hrs of work now I get
    c:\video
    -sources.mpg(450Mb) <-old
    -sources_DVD.mpg(470mb) <- new
    and
    c:\video\DVD\video
    -video_TS.IFO
    -VTS_sources_VOB(.99gb) <-new

According to the guide I can burn 450min of VCD in the DVD using VTS_... file. But when I try to use my easycd 6.0 dvd creator and drop in either sources_dvd.mpg or VTS_.... it say I only have 2gb left on the DVD.

What did I do wrong? Basically what should I do now??

  3. Maybe I don't say it clear enough. I have 40 source files, after the convertion I have 40 source files + 40 source_DVD file but there is only 19 VTS file.
Is that normal? Each of the source files is approx 45min(450mb) long and my orginal plan is to put 8 of those into each DVD. Is there anything I did wrong?

  4. I'm probably lost here but here is my lame theory. ok.

you have 40 source files @ 450MB per file (45 minutes each)

converting the audio to 48k isn't going to raise that size much. You state the new size is around 470mb each now.

A dvd blank will hold around 4400mb. The largest size vob files are allowed is 1.0GB. (probably your .99G)

    So:
    40 X 470mb = 18,800 total mb for the project.
    18,800 / 1.0G = 19 vob files around 1G each. Actually 18 = 1G and 1 = 800MB

    Since a dvd holds around 4400MB you can put 4 - 1G vobs on a blank. 19 / 4 = 4.75 or 5 dvd blanks required.

You said you have 19 vob files now. (I think). If they are around 1G each then you have a combined project.

Test play the vob files in a program like PowerDVD and check them out.

Probably wrong but hope this helps.
    Good luck.
