I have been wanting to get a mini DV cam for a good while now and get away from the Hi8 I've been using. I have been studying them for a little while now, but have been unable to find a good website that would give the information that I need. I was hoping maybe some of you guys could give me a few suggestions based on your experiences.
What I want:
1. Anamorphic 16:9
2. Progressive
3. Pass Thru
Obviously I want good picture quality, best bang for the buck, yada, yada. But those three features are very important to me. Is there anything that I need to look for or stay away from when buying one of these? I don't know what the true difference between a $300 camera and a $1000 camera is other than some shoot stills and some don't. I don't care if it shoots stills or not, as I will probably never do it. I've read in other posts that you have to get a 16:9 lens attachment to get true anamorphic 16:9. If that's true, where should I look (website or other) for one and what's a good price?
Thank you for all your help.
Kyle
