  1. I can burn VCD1, VCD2 in burning programs...whats the difference. Is there a VCD3??

    Basically... (and please let me know if I've left something important out -- details are obviously missing)

    VCD1.0 is karaoke only
    VCD1.1 adds better full motion video playback in MPEG-1 format
    VCD2.0 adds playback control to VCD1.1
    VCD3.0 adds Chinese-specific features for educational purposes to VCD2.0

    There is a good summary of the differences between the various versions of VCD in the VCDImager manual: http://www.vcdimager.org/documentation.phtml

    Perhaps it is interesting to note that PAL support doesn't come until VCD2.0.

  5. If you are going to make a VCD, there is little point in making it other than VCD2.0 as it can do what VCD1.1 can and more.

    In any case, most available VCD authoring programs that exist only make VCD2.0 so it is a moot point. The only program I know of that can also make VCD1.1 is VCDImager.
