HELP!!!!!

Hi folks, i need some help and info, i have some avis on my drive that i convert into mpeg using mainconcept, i then check them and they play gr8, then i drop them in tmpegnc dvd author, when i put them on to dvd and play on pc or dvd player they sre sometimes out of sync. apparently there is a tool that can correct this, someone said it was something like foobar or similar. can anyone help me out. thanks
