  1. hi!

i've been trying for q few days now, to encode my video files to .mov with quicktime 6pro (like apple trailers)

i can do it, but the quality its no so good
or the file size it very high

    my question is
if anyone know which setting should i use..

for my video files (2 minutes) look good and dont have a high file size

what i basically want is them to look like common apple trailers...

    thanks a lot!

Which format are your input files in? I would recommend that they be an uncompressed AVI or DV file, as the Quicktime compresses the file, and if your source is a MPEG or other already compressed format, the result will look worse than what you started with.

use Sorenson Squeeze 3 Compression Suite -- with Sorenson Video 3 Pro codec and 2 pass VBR

Vob files a. aren't uncompressed. The video contained within them is compressed with mpeg-2, and b. may contain more than just video, which can cause problems.

I would suggest demuxing the video and audio out of the vobs, and going from there.

demux it as suggested - but i am pretty sure you will have to convert the pcm to wavs for squeeze to work

  13. i've already tried that
but in squeeze 4 if i open an mpg, and i want to import and audio file it has to be the same time of the source (mpg)
