  1. I just need to know where I can find the right codec (see pic below).

I've searched this board and the tools section, but haven't found an answer to my question, so if anyone in the know would help me out here, I'd be much obliged. Thank you

  4. Thanx for the advice johns0, unfortunately that didn't solve my problem, it still won't open in VirtualDub. Sorry, I forgot to mention that the clip plays perfectly fine in both MP and Zoom Player

I remember that for mp43 you had to change the Four CC Code to Divx using the AVI Four CC Changer. I wonder if this is the same for MP42.

Here is the link . Maybe some one could confirm if I am right or wrong.

  6. Nope, that just resulted in a completrely garbled clip.
I did find out that I can run this thru' TMPGenc, and use that .mpeg in VDub, so I can rotate the movie and then frameserve directly back to TMPGenc. A bit of a hassle, but it seems to work, except after I rotate the film, the top and bottom are cropped in TMPGenc, but that's a whole other problem, I'm sure I can solve

No problem. Usually you can find what you need by doing a Google search. In this case I did a search for "mp42 codec download".

You did, of course. It just needed to be reiterated.
