I have a BIN/CUE set made of an SVCD. I can burn the image onto a CD-R using Roxio ECD 6 (disc copier). I can then play the SVCD with PowerDVD.

What I would like to do is extract the BIN/CUE onto my hard drive and play from there (i.e. skip the burn process) - or just extract the MPEG2 file if that's all I need.

I've attempted the extraction with ISOBuster however I get an error when trying to extract (see image) - (even though it works fine since I've burned it to a CD-R.)

So, if anyone has a simple way to do this, I'd appreciate the input.

One simple way is to read the FAQ.

Another simple way is to figure it out myself (inadvertently)

In ISOBuster, I selected "Extract but FILTER only M2F2 MPEG frames," then navigated to the MPEG2 file and opened with PowerDVD which worked like a charm.

For the record, I searched thoroughly for a solution to this and never found that FAQ. Thanks for the input, however.

  4. Hi!
Try DaemonTools, it's freeware and can do the things you want.

  5. If you ignore the error, the file will still play at the end.

Actually, the link to Daemon Tools in the FAQ (where it's called Virtual Daemon) is broken/outdated, and has been for almost a year. It needs to be updated as it has been in the Tools Section.

btw, daemontools changed their homepage to http://www.daemon-tools.cc

  8. Actually, what also works is that you could put: Extract raw but convert to user data. that works nicely also.
