  1. What's the easiest way to BATCH encode OGMs with subtitles AND the correct audio track to MPEG? Here's what I'm guessing, you guys tell me if there's an easier way or if this won't work:

    Demux audio and subtitles
Convert correct audio track to wav
    Rename .ogm to .avi
Put subtitle files in the same directory as video files
Use tmpgenc as normal but select the .wav files for sources
    Create batch encode as normal

I saw the title of this thread and thought: "Good God, don't tell me somebody things this can be done in one or two clicks!" Sounds like you have a sensible plan, much to my relief. Things might change along the way though. This method doesn't work for everyone. Best of luck just the same. Post back if you have any problems.

You can convert your OGM to AVI using this guide:
    http://kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10431

It's very fast and don't loose quality, because only the container is changed.

Then you can use DIKO to put it in DVD:

Will DIKO automatically mux the avi, audio, and subtitle track and convert it to DVD? What if I had more than one audio language track to add to DVD? Does DIKO support multiple subtitle/audio streams? I searched for DIKO on this site and it says it requires Cinemacraft SP. Do I need Cinemacraft SP for DIKO to work?

I'm not sure about all of your questions but it does require Cinema Craft Encoder SP.

Cinema Craft Encoder SP is a $2000 program, how many people on this board do you think will dish out 2g's for DIKO's requirement?

It's up to each one to decide. Anyway, support for other encoder is on its way. I plan to add mencoder support as soon as possible.

I've never heard of "mencoder". How about adding something like TMPGEnc, Mainconcept MPEG Encoder or Canopus Procoder instead?

Maybe you should clean your ears then. Mencoder is the encoder of Mplayer, using the same library that comes with ffmpeg (libavcodec). It's command-line based, but I also made a GUI for it. Get mencoder and the GUI here:
    http://kvcd.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=81

It provides very good quality in mpeg2 and it's free. Do some tests with the optmized parameters included in the GUI to see what I am talking about.

My ears are just fine, thank you. There are a lot of things in this hobby that I haven't heard of. I don't pretend to be a know-it-all.

Neither do I, I was just kidding. Mencoder is very new anyway, but it's already giving great results.
