I just bought a Sony DCR PC109 camera which records on miniDV. I am trying to capture the video in Adobe Premier but I cannot get anything higher than 320x240 resolution. I am transfering with a USB cable. Also, I get the message "The DV Device is unavailable for device control". The capture resolution IS set to 640 x 480. I also tried capturing in Ulead and I had the same problem. Could this be that my drivers aren't up to date? If so, what drivers would I look for? Camera drivers or video card drivers? Could it be that I have to update Premier?
Any help is appreciated.

You'll need firewire to capture full DV resolution. USB 1.x isn't fast enough for 720x480 DV.
See the "USB Streaming" details at this site:
