  1. hello
i'm converting my old vhs tapes to dvd, and the dvd's looks fine on my computer but on my tv seems a bit jumpy, or something. i don't know very well but something it's strange on the video.
    what can be wrong?
    what i'm doing is:
-capture from vhs to avi with a canopus advc 1394 (i don't lost any frame during this process)
-then with avisynth i framserve to cce and encode.
    -then i author with dvd-lab.

i'm not deinterlacing the video, can be this that cause this jumpy when i watch in a tv??
on my computer it's fine. i used force bob and auto on windvd just to see if the problem could be the deinterlace and i didn't get any conclusion.
I guess the tv's deinterlace the videos, am i wrong? cause i don't see the lines on any of my tv's.. but both have that weird jumpy effect.. :/

any advices to help me out?
    Thanks

  2. Might be using the wrong Field Order. That can make action and pan shots jump.

I did a short clip test where I encoded two identical video clips and put them on a RW dvd. One in Field A and the other in Field B, and played them on my TV. I found that my setup required Field A. Might be a good idea to do this simple test yourself. Then you'll know for sure.

    Good luck.

The FIELD setting for newer versions of CCE is under the VIDEO button in newer versions. It's called 'Offset Line'. Try chaning it from 0 to 1.
Impossible to see the future is. The Dark Side clouds everything...
