you might want to try Mozilla - I switched to it when my IE got hijacked, and I like it so much I don't want to go back, even though I've cleared the bug.

the newer version (1.7 I think?) is more optimized code, so supposedly it runs faster. they also have a new one called Firefox, I think it's browser only, so it's even leaner.

You could try mozilla firefox. I use it all the time. I love it. It has a built in pop-up blocker and built in google toolbar, and you can customize all sorts of ways.

If you want an IE wrapper, which is what MyIE2 is then also try Avant Browser. However the primary problem is it IS an IE wrapper, therefore all bugs and exploits, as well as issues of IE come with them. Such as being asked to intall Gator when you hit lame websites.

Of course with Firefox you get a free tabbed browser that doesn't have that issue.

  11. Opera all the way!!

Looking at the features of MyIE2

    Tabbed Browsing Interface
    Mouse Gestures
    Super Drag&Drop
    Privacy Protection
    AD Hunter
    Google Bar Support
    External Utility Bar
    Skinning

    Opera has these all...

    Just my 2 cents...

I have MyIE2 and also Green Browser. Both are great, but I always come back to good ol' Opera. I think it's the best out there.

I use Firefox. Out of the box it is a fine browser, but with tweaks and extensions, it is fantastic. It seems faster than IE, uses cache better and blocks all popups and most internal ads. I haven't used Opera, but I assume it is not freeware, as is Firebird. Firebird also has a great support forum. About the only thing I don't like about it is that its password manager is a bit lame, but roboform can be made to work with it.
