  1. Hi,

I have donated and am using the full version of SVCD2DVD.

I have a number of VCDs that I would like to put on 1 DVD. They all play fine as VCDs. I created and burned a disc with menus - all worked swimmingly but I noticed audio sync was not right.

I have tried the surefire method but have failed - here's where I am at, can anyone help.

    - VCD in sync
    - Test on VDub - out of sync.
    - re-encode using TMPGenc.
    - Retest on VDub - out of sync
    - normal playback - NOW out of sync.

So, have I done something wrong? Should I just go ahead and use SVCD2DVD now and it somehow fixes the sync problem??

Can anyone offer any help with this one.??

I also tried a solution which involved extracting the Wav file and then reducing it by a percentage to fit the video file. It worked - mostly - but as you would expect, there are sections which go out of sync, before snapping back to sync. Closet I have gotten to date.

  2. Some files just won't go the only way to solve it is bij ajusting the audio stream by hand with an audio edit tool.

  3. Yeah - figured as much. The whole thing goes further out of sync each commercial break edited out.

I'm not after a magic bullet solution - so can anyone recommend an application that will allow me to progressively adjust the audio at each point that it goes out of sync.

Obviously it will need to allow me to view the video at the same time. A lot of the other things I tried adjust the whole audio stream which didn't work due to the way the audio gets worse and worse at each commercial break point.

I am happy to put a bit of work into these but need the right app to do it.
