I go off this afternoon to buy my wife her Mother's Day present, take her to a nice dinner, and this is what I have to come home to?
I know you're not the most popular person on this forum, but if given a choice between seeing you made a moderator and having my pubic hairs ripped off my body with duct tape, I'd take the duct tape waxing in a heartbeat.:P
Yes, I'm only kidding. Congratulations, Greek-type dude.
Now get off your lazy Moderator ass and send me that VideoCD so I can properly berate your countrymen and their views on The World According to George W. Bush.![]()

I hope he's gonna keep it short from now on.
His endless posts were killing me sometimes.
Congrats though...You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off. -

What I learned from the forums all those years, is that if you are somewhere for long, you have to became "moderator". Otherwise, in the eyes of the other users, you look a looser. A nothing. Forums manage to graduate users by turning them "Moderators". And since I'm not a mod, I'm a looser in their eyes.
In my case, and after all this negative feedback I had recently (thank you for this - you know who you are), the only solution I see to keep posting here, is Baldrick turn me to a moderator, just for the title. Newbies / Newcomers afraid to attack mods and that would help me a lot nowdays...
Problem solved!
I hope you enjoy your new duties and obtain the respect you crave. Sorry you felt that way. Your comments are touching. I am not taking sides in any issue but was curious as to the threads that led up to recent discussions about you so I did a bit of research.
Peace. -
Satstorm,
I have a question regarding NTSC HDTV can you help me? :P

Seriously congratulations! -
Thank you all!
Yes, now I'm a mod, after much thinking and private conversations with some of my forum friends.
To tell you the true, I enjoyed my time here as a member, 'cause occasionally I could be an ass. Now, I have to cool down a bit on this (as a mod). Also, I have to learn how to express myself in a better way, and be much more diplomatic. I'll use to, maybe now I'll be more funier at times
Moderating the forums is not my priority at the time. After all, the rest mods do such a wonderfull job on this already. Basicly I gonna focus on cleaning up the reports on the capture card / tools lists, writting new guides and help the DVB forum section overall. From Monday of course.
Today I plan to do my first sea bath. It is officially summer that is... -
Congratiolations my Friend! 8)
I Take it you will be replacing me ? since i've asked to have my Moderator status revoked.
You wouldn't want to take over my guide too ?Email me for faster replies!
Best Regards,
Sefy Levy,
Certified Computer Technician. -
No way sefy!
We want you here! You are a great value and help of this forum!
Look, you had a bad time with a member (which is also a good guy, I had plenty PM with him) once in 5 years! I had much more bad times with other members than you at the same period ! So, don't take it so deep and don't be so ashamed for one ******* silly moment you get passionet about something. After all, is our mediterennian temper that lead us to passionet discussions and actions! It is part of us!
We want you here, and we all really love you exactly the way you are. And accept you the way you are.
And your guides are unbeatable! Nobody can replace you on this. You are doing the PERFECT job.
So, stop feeling bad for that one bad moment you had in almost 5 years.
We all agree that this was a nothing compared to what you have offered us all those years! -
A good choice, whoever suggested it was a clever fellow
Don't change Satstorm.
Will Haytgpo, my real dad, told me to make a maximum of 5,806 posts on vcdhelp.com in one lifetime. So I have. -

I've had the occasion to meet people from forums whom I've had problems with online, only to find that in person we got along just fine. I bet that would happen here, too.
Whaddya say, Sefy? -

I think some people may be making too much out of the status of a moderator. It simply means they help run the forum. They're not grand authority figures or gifted with mystical powers. They can perform a few functions that regular members can't in order to keep the forum running smoothly.
The downside is that it requires one to regularly visit the forum to perform one's duties. You can't let it go for a few days if you don't feel like going online. Then there are people who perceive moderators as targets and can't resist the temptation to confront them. For whatever reason, they feel it's a challenge that they can't pass up.
In other words, it's a mixed proposition.... -
It was my understanding that SatStorm was 'hired' to be the DVB Moderator. That should dovetail perfectly with that he does for a living.
Or at least, what he claims he does for a living. I'm still not convinced he's even from Greece. I send him mail, and the Post Office returns it as Undeliverable.
(My scanner will be back in my hands tomorrow, SatStorm. You should have those Return Receipts in your e-mail by then.) -

I just joined this site about a a week or so ago.. main reason for joining was to educamate myself on multimedia issues.. One in particular, that being the new area of HI Def TV and Digital Broadcasts..And from what little bit I've gleened from this forum site is that SatStorm appears to have the knowledge and know-how concerning this stuff..Seems to me to be the proper choice for a Mod..Just hope we don't burn ya out...or better yet, I Hope I don't get burned out on this stuff...
Paranoid !?!?!? Who's Paranoid !?!?!??

Hi W_Eagle. I have to hear from you months! Where are you latelly?
Adam is right: Mods are nothing more than advance users who simply do some extra job for the forum. Also, they have to be more carefull than the members. But, for some teens, forum Mods look like "authority"
(Do you remember Cartman from southpark? "Respect my Authoritaaaaa"). And the problem is that latelly, we have pleny of them around. Even in this post!
Thank you again all for your welcome! -
