  1. i placed a help me a week or to ago and was helped out .....my pc wood crash wen playing xvids and tmpgenc wood crash to with k lite codecs installed and was told by 1 of the members of this board try ffd show codecs so i did and it worked gr8 i converted them and burnt then to dvd ......i got another clip that has 6 channel ac3 sound but with ffd show codecs there is no sound and tmpgenc does not crash ......so i installed k lite codecs and it plays with sound but tmpgenc crashes .....have i set codecs up wrong .....could sum 1 give me a piont in the rite direction thanx

  2. The best advise i could give is to get rid of that K-Lite codec pack.

    As for the AC3, you will have to decode it with another tool before encoding with TMPGEnc.

    A half-assed approach would be to use the AC-3 ACM Decompressor:

    If your source is AVI with AC3 sound, then this will sometimes decode in TMPGEnc with the AC-3 ACM Decompressor . Only problem is that volume will be too low. You'll have to use the "Normalize" function of TMPGEnc to adjust.

    Are the clips AVI's?

  3. if i go the clips properties it says divx(R) codecs 4 video compression 23 frames / sec data rate 205kbps bit rate 448kbps ......i dont no a great deal about tthis stuff
