Comp. Freezes when burning (Pioneer 106D)

I have a Pioneer 106D with the hacked 1.07 firmware (although it does it with the original 1.06 also) and my computer freezes about 50% of the time when I'm burning, no matter the speed. I have no clues as to why, but it does. I tried getting new drivers but none were available. Anyone have any ideas?

tried reinstalling windows? doesnt sound like a hardware flw, more like something f'cks up in the bruning progem.

Try reinstalling the burner, the burner program, and lastly, if nothing else works, reinstall windows.

If you still get the freezes with a fresh windows and several burning softwares, please come back with more info on the problem.
