  1. Hello,

I have this strange problem, i hope someone can help me with.
A friend send me an external harddisk with 90 minutes of DV footage for me to work with in Adobe Premiere.
However, when he captured the files with his Raptor DV board and software, it was split into 6 files. Only the first file is an avi file, being recognized by my Adobe software (but picture is black), the other files are not recognized, and look like this:

    name.000 (4gb)
    name.001 (4gb)
    name.002 (4gb)
    name.003 (4gb)
    name.004 (2gb)

Anyone any clue how i can make these files work in Adobe?
    Thanks!

Hi - you need to install the Canopus DV Codec, you can get it for free (legally) from here.

  3. Hi Tommo,

Thanks for replying. Installing the Canopus DV codec didn't make any difference.
But the same page you referred to also had a tool available called 'DV file converter'. And with this tool i managed to add the parts together into a single DV file that Adobe can read.
    Thanks for your help!
    Lapaz.
