If you've read my previouse post then this is my reason for reinstalling windows. I keep getting fatal exception errors in vxd files when a program tries to access the cd rom, generally when opening a windows explorer type save or open window. The errors I've seen have been in scsihelp1.vxd, voltrack.vxd and others but with the others it doesn't say the name it just has like --.vxd or something like that.
Anyways as far as I know they are virtual device drivers and can be found in c:/windows/system/iosubsys/ if this helps. I've searched the net for any documented problems but all I've found is that nero has problems with win95 but I'm using win98 so it wasn't much help. I currently have winoncd 3.8PE nero 5.5.3.5 installed as well as m1 edit and premiere and videopak4. But I don't think there is any drv conflicts but I could be mistaken. If you know anything about this or know where I could find out anymore I'd appreciate it.

Thanks alot.
