Does it just change the GOP structure, throw away "I" frames?

As far as I know: standard it changes the GOP structure, but it does not throw away the I frames. If I recall correctly it throws away the P frames.
I have read somewhere that when "Deep analysis" is used, the bitrate is lowered, by the percentage the movie is shrinked.The Dutchman -
It works very well
It works by reducing the number of binary digits in the
numbers used to represent the video data.
If you have a 6 bit number it can describe 64 different levels.
If you change it to 5 , it can only represent 32 different levels ,
hence the reduction in quality....and more than 15% reduction in size.
