  1. Hiya... me again ! Finally i solved my prob with the menu button that won't hightlight ! First i was in the wrong menu setting... and then, i discovered that menu item (buttons) have to be in the same group (1-2 or 3) to play okay...

So now i have marvelous menus ! Then i burned it and when i played it on the Pionneer, still very nice ! But... i selected one of the clip, a 45 min clip, it played okay, but the "Menu" button on my remote control would not respond... even after i hit the stop button, i had no choice but this : eject the dvd and reinsert it to get access to the menu... how sad !

so maybe someone can help me here ?

    Thx Guys !

  2. You need to create a link, from the movie, to the menu you want. It's not always automatic.
On the Connections screen, see where your movie probably has an arrow, and the word "Ret" beside it, yet it goes off into nowhere.
Right click on the movie, select Draw Connections, click and hold on the movie, then drag to your menu box, release.
This will draw the actual connection from anywhere you hit the Menu button in the movie, to go back to your menu.

  3. have you tried pressing the 'title' button on your remote?
this should bring up the menu if in dvd-labs connections the T is set to the menu.
a movie should automatically return to the place it came from before play, this is also in the connections window as an arrow with RET for return. you can set this by clicking the DRAW LINKS button on the left then click on the movie and drag to where you want to go after the movie has finished.

  4. Pressing menu will always call the root menu. The only exception is if you have a user restriction on it but DVD-Lab can't do that yet (I think it's planned for the next release). What version of DVD-Lab do you use and are you sure you have a root menu (maybe you only have a title menu)?

  5. petar, that's the way it's supposed to work, however some dvd players just can't sort out the menu button. I had this happen on a Panasonic of unknown vintage. Manually linking the movie to the Menu 1 seemed to cure the problem. Your mileage may vary.
