  1. For those that own one, what model HP Burner do you own and how do you like it? Have you experienced any problems with it? I'm not sure who has read my post about my HP CD-RW problem, but so that I don't repeat myslef too much, I bought a HP burner 16x10x40 and I can't get it to work with ANY other software except for the one that it came with (Record Now). Has anyone else experienced this? How did you get around it?

    Thanx
    Mario

My model is CD16ri. I 'think' that my problem might be common with HP burners that follow the same model number pattern as mine (ie CD12ri, CD16n etc). Perhaps HP burners that follow your model number pattern (ie 8230e, 9200i, 9510i ) are different. My burner, and perhaps all following my model number pattern, have 'buffer-under-run-prevention'. Maybe HP integrates something into the burner so that it can't work with other software. Perhaps that's the only way they can assure no buffer underrun.

Please if anyone has any info on this, I would appreciate hearing it.

    Thank You
    Mario

  10. I have a 9100i and it works great with everything, not only that there tech support is excellent, My burner stopped burning and I lost my receipt so the retailer wouldn't touch it. I phoned up tech support and tehy sent me a replacement drive within the week, they still haven't picked up the old one though , Just as a side note, I only ever made 2 coasters in the year I've owned it, both when trying to copy safedisk v2, which I subsequently learned a lot about

  11. I have a HP 8x4x32 cdwriter plus series 9100. It works great and with almost anything I've tried. (EZ CD CREATOR,CDRWIN,CLONECD,NTI CD MAKER,FIREBURNER,NERO burning rom, clicknburn).Draw backs (slow, doesn't overburn,no burn proof). I have a faster TDK velocd writer but I keep the hp in my system because It works with CDRWIN and the version of CloneCD i have which doesn't work with TDK burner
