  2. Hello,
I got this off of liteon's website
"NOTE !! Once the drive has been upgraded to new firmware , it can NOT changed back anymore."
So it looks like you might have to wait for an update on the firmware and hope that will solve your problem. I have the same drive and the same firmware and have not had any problems with the memorex DVD-R DVD+R or the DVD+RW discs, or the Ritek +RW's, but I never tried the Ritek +R's or -R's.
    Hope that help's,
    Mike

go to this site and download FS0F
    http://dhc014.rpc1.org/indexOEM.htm#L

check out the LITEON forum at cdfreaks.com, they have instructions on how to flash your drive.

I would suggest you upgrade your 411S to the 811S by using the ZEBRA MOD. Check the LITEON forum for more info and instructions hot to upgrade with the ZEBRA MOD. I upgraded mine and it burns RITEK G04 DVD-R much better using firmware for 811s HS0P. You would need to get the HSOP firmware from dave's site (the one I posted up above).

    for ZEBRA MOD go here:
    http://www.speedlabs.org/
you would need to join the forum before you can download the ZEBRA MOD.
