  1. Hi All

Although quite new to all this I have had good results using TMPGEnc and TMPGEnc DVD Author.

However recently I have found a few files that TMPGEnc has not been able to encode. I can usderstand one of them as it is an MPEG4 (of which any details of how to manage would be most welcome) The others are avi files that are have been split into CD1 and CD2 files.

I had an idea that if I joined them using virtualdub that TMPGEnc may accept them - but it does not - following the wizard the program just hangs and does not repond. (it has worked fine on other files and this is not just 1 movie - its 3 that I have the problem with)

I appear to have all the codecs I need as I can play all on media player.

Be gratefull for any / all help

    Regards

    Aqua

Analyze the problem files with G-spot and see if there is a common statistic among them such as the 4cc used. Post your findings. Also, it's usually not a good idea to join avi files for encoding in TMPGEnc. Did you try encoding them seperately?
