  1. Hello there, you guys! I was using a routine method provided by a friend of mine, and everything was fine, i was able to author perfect dvd's with selectable subtitles, but then, once in while, my bubble bursts, here and there... the routine, was:

dvd decrypter: To rip the content.

Maestro: To author(importing the media, image and sound, import the
subs, make the menu... and compile the whole thing).

convssa:to prepare the SSA(when i use Sub Station Alpha, and i mostly use, due to the fact that i'm using this program in the last five years, and it's easy for me. Most times, i rip the subtitles of a dvd, using sub rip, to use for my purposes), creating mod files, that will be imported by Maestro SBT.

Maestro SBT: That will import the mod.ssa files, generated by convssa, and the i can adjust the resolution output of the subs(mostly, i use 640X430, and it works just great), and the in and output frame rate(mostly, the most used, is 29,97 in and 30 output... this, at least, fits perfectly in most of the 28 dvd's that i have authored so far, and thank God, most of them worked perfectly, mostly, not all of then, wich makes me post this here, asking for your help! ). Anyway, the Maestro SBT will creat a file, that i'll import again by convssa, and turn this file a son file, that i'll import by dvd Maestro.

Here's what happened this(two problems) weekend, and i still can't solve:
    Problem 1:
I riped the dvd by Decrypter, and then, since is a japanesedvd, i have to make the script and subs. So, i use ac3towav, to convert the ac3 file, to a wav file, but ac3towav only output 16bit files, so, i use nero wave editor, to make this a 11025 hz 8 bit, so i can import this by SSA(these are the wav specs that SSA works better), and make the timing of the whole thing.
I finish the whole timing/script/translation, and then, i use the steps above, to author the dvd... but then, for the first time... the subs start to display in the wrong moment. They start just fine, but to the middle of the movie from forward, they start to appear sonner and sonner, and, by the end, they pop up in the screen, two seconds earlier of the respective talk. Nothing less, nothing more, two secs(the movie has 50 minutes).
I've tried, on Maestro SBT, adjust the in and out frames, using every single option they show in the program, but nothing. Only worst results(incredible delay, incredible advance of subs, subs starting all in wrong times, from the beggining, and so on...). The best one, is still 29.97 in and 30 out. I've even tried workin on SSA, 'adjusting' the subs on autotimerevamp, but it was useless, since the timing was ok, the 'play role' plays exactly the respective line.

    Problem 2:
Yesterday that bug on Maestro happened again. It only hapened so far, with japanese dvd's. The Maestro refuses to compile, claiming that the file has too quality(10.08 Mbps), and that he can't handle. Don't ask me why, the Maestro refuses to compile. He says:
'Combine (Multiplexed) Bit Rate too high - cannot exceed 10.08 Mbp... ase reduce stream bit rate or number of streams to be multiplexed'

Knowing that this already happened in the past, i use decrypt, to rip only the video files, so, Maestro won't bug me, and will allow me to compile only the video, and, i record a dvd-rw with this video, and then rip again by decrypter, and Maestro will never refuse again... well, sometimes, before record the dvd-rw with the video only, i Shrink this file, using dvd Shrink, using 98% of the original quality(or, because the file is too big, to fit on to a dvd-r, or, to the Maestro don't refuse a 10.08 mbp file). And yes, this japanese dvd is a dual layer, has 4 anime episodes of the anime One Piece, and i was ripping only 3 episodes, to shrink only a little bit, to fit on a dvd-r, with minimal losses.
Here's my main problem, in this problem number two: the dvd has 22 chapters, and, 1-15 covers the 3 first episodes, so, i ripped, separatelly, video and sound. But, when i import, in import media assets, on dvd Maestro, the video files, 1h13 minutes, turns into a 48 mintutes file!! That is what Maestro says. I thought i was a bug, and i compile, and then, used Powerdvd to play the file, and it was indeed a 40 minutes video, only the two first episodes, and i ripped 3 episodes! I've checked the size of the video file, and it was 5.3 gigs. But the compilation only has 3.5 gigs! The Maestro 'ate' the third episode, of Decrypter failed in doing something?
Ah, the audio file is just fine, 1h 13 minutes, on the Maestro import media assets display. I've heard that the soft called 'Reestream' could solve this problem number two. That's correct? And the problem number 1, what can i do?
Thank you so much you guys! Sorry my bad english, and if i mist some vital info to explain my problem, please tell me, so i can post here.
Thanks again, and sorry if this is the wrong place to post such thing, i'm new here.
