  1. Error when using .srt file at playback and converting with TMPGenc plus

When playing a movie and using an .srt subtitle windows media player gives an error and i only can play the movie with subtitles when i use another player.. When using TMPGenc plus i get an error when opening the file so. if i remove the .srt file it works but than i don't have subtitles when converting it for burning to dvd. I found one solution that told to use shorter file names but that didn't work too can someone help me please!!!

it's a little hard to understand what is your problem? are you dealing with a dvd movie (video_ts directory) or a .avi?? anyway, try a different player and see if the bug happens there too, and u can also try re-saving the .srt file with subtitleworkshop. u can sometime find that there are overlapping sub lines or similar problems that cause errors in some programs.
With all due respect... and there is respect...
