"In order to fit a movie onto a blank DVD, people often do a main-movie only backup using DVD Shrink. This is a good way to minimize the compression needed, or can often remove the need to compress at all. But once re-authored, there will be no menus and the movie will start to play as soon as it's put into the DVD player. This is fine, but you might want to keep the menus, as many people like to use the chapter menu. You might also want to keep just one of the extras, but not the others.

This is what VOB Blanker does. But rather than remove the extras, which would mess up the structure of the DVD, it replaces them with a small blank VOB."
