    Once i've captured my vhs video clips, made them
    into dvds is it ok to make a data type backup of the
    dvd folders, will they drag from a disc back into my
    pc and be usable, just checking.

    Yes, but it's going to be another copy of that dvd you just created. It's the same thing... lol A data type disk. Drag away.
