  1. I downloaded the latest drivers and PVR software (march/04 I think) and was running fine until very recently. Then I noticed that all of the shows I was scheduling to record weren't getting recorded. When I brought up the PVR to do some troubleshooting I noticed that it took a long time (30+ seconds) to load the PVR. During that time I saw the video for the appropriate channel correctly, but no sound. Also, it showed up as not responding in the task manager, and when I held the mouse over the PVR control panel it brought up an outline of a standard windows dialog box around the PVR control window with a title bar that said not responding.

After 30 or so seconds everything was fine. The app was responsive, I had sound and I cound manually record. I suspect the scheduled recordings are failing because the PVR tries to fire up and start recording at the assigned time but is failing because of the 30 second lag time in things getting going.

Anyone run into this before or have any ideas what I can try?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I schedule the start time 30 seconds before program start and end it 30 seconds after it is supposet to end. If trying to schedule back to back prograns, I end the first 30 seconds early as it is usually on credits or junk.

Basically I allow pre-time for program to set itself up and time to make channel changes/cap settings. Also leave the program running before scheduled capture, just minimize.

  3. Changing the start and end times doesn't seem to work for me. Regardless of when its scheduled to start, it won't start recording.

Its like as soon as the timer starts the PVR app it tries to start recording and since its still in this 'Loading' or not responding state it fails to start recording and never tries again. The TV screen appears on the monitor after awhile, but it never actually starts recording.

I've tried a complete uninstall and reinstalled from the CD that came in the box, but it still doesn't work.

If I do leave the 'tv' running all the time it will record scheduled programs, but thats kind of a hassle.

Ever try and get in touch with anyone at LeadTek for support??? A couple of the email addresses I've tried come back as non-existent.

  5. No, I don't have anything in scheduler. Are you thinking of adding an entry to start the PVR like 1 minute before its scheduled to start recording?
